This comprehensive evaluation helps identify risks early and guides a safe, individualized care plan to prevent complications.

Extra caution is taken to avoid cutting too short or damaging surrounding skin, as these patients—such as those with diabetes, poor circulation, or neuropathy—are more prone to slow healing and complications.

For corns, the central hard core is gently lifted or pared down without cutting into healthy tissue. Throughout the procedure, pressure points are identified and addressed to prevent recurrence. Due to the increased risk of poor healing, bleeding, and infection in high-risk patients, minimal, controlled removal with strict infection control practices is required.

First time clients
An initial advanced foot care appointment typically begins with a thorough health history, signing of consent forms, and assessment of the feet, skin, and nails. We check for circulation, sensation, and any signs of infection, wounds, or abnormalities. Care includes trimming and thinning of toenails, gentle reduction of corns and calluses, and education on proper foot hygiene and footwear. The visit ends with personalized recommendations and a care plan tailored to the client's specific needs.
Maintenance (Usually Every 6 Weeks)
A follow-up advanced foot care appointment focuses on monitoring changes since the initial visit and to maintain foot health. We will reassess circulation, sensation, skin integrity, and nail condition of both feet, and address any new or ongoing concerns. Care includes nail trimming, callus or corn reduction, and gentle skin care. Updates to the care plan are made as needed to prevent complications and to support ongoing comfort.

So tired- being a good boy is hard work!
Assisted Therapy Dogs work with their owner, typically: educators, teachers, psychologists, counsellors and doctors. A calm well behaved and loving dog at their workplace can bring great benefit to their students, clients, customers and patients.
Typically, Visiting Therapy Dogs visit hospitals, schools, hospices and nursing homes, to name just a few. Unlike service dogs, therapy dogs are encouraged to interact with a variety of people while they are on-duty. Visiting Therapy dogs may also visit schools, daycares, group homes and rehabilitation centers. Their roles vary from: dogs who give learning-disabled children the confidence to read out loud, to actively participating in physical rehabilitation therapy.
